Association of Licensed Mobile Payment Operators (ALMPO) is the umbrella body for all Mobile Money Operators (MMOs), licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria. ALMPO was established in 2012 to act as collective of the licensed mobile payment operators, drive the delivery of CBN mandate of efficient mobile payment services, and deepen financial inclusion in Nigeria.
Over the years, ALMPO has positioned itself, working and collaborating with relevant stakeholders to promote industry standards and influence sustainable frameworks for the advancement of mobile financial services and financial inclusion in Nigeria.
Currently, ALMPO has over 25 fully-licensed member institutions with a combined agent network spread of over 150,000 agents, serving more than 100 million customers across Nigeria.
